Payment Methods
To make payments easy and ensure the best comfort for our customers, we have implemented payment solution that allows automatic confirmation of the purchase. This way, you can pay for our cruises by Credit Card (Visa or Mastercard).
Before booking your cruise, we suggest you read our payment methods and conditions.
Credit Card Payments
Through payment by Credit Card (VISA or Mastercard) we provide all our customers with a quick and effective method, whether they are in Portugal or abroad. This is a secure online payment and is automatically confirmed by our system. Thus, there is no need to send any payment proof.
If you want to make a payment by Credit Card, we send you a link via email, through which you are redirected to a safe payment page (Redunicre), a secure entity and partner that processes payments. Then, you must enter the necessary data of your card (the number, the expiration date and the security code) and click on the “validate payment” button.
After validation, the total amount of your purchase is automatically charged. Redunicre and our bank are the only entities that process your card data and guarantee the transmission of encrypted data. We only receive the information with the result of the authorization and instructions to proceed with the order.
Credit Card payments are always made in euros (€). We warn customers that some bank entities abroad may charge exchange fees.
Note: In compliance with new security rules disseminated by VISA Internacional and Europay / Mastercard Internacional, since April 1, 2001 all requests for authorization to carry out transactions using cards from those systems, can only be processed by Redunicre as long as the security code (CVV2 / CVC2) of the respective card is included. The security code is a three-digit number, printed on the back of the card, after the number, to the right of the signature panel of all VISA and Europay cards as shown below.
Payment Deadlines
When you confirm your booking we send you an email with a payment link, which is valid for 24 Hours (Visa or Mastercard). This allows you to pay online without needing to give us your credit card details.
The reservation is only considered confirmed after the payment of the total amount is done. Once our system confirms the payment, the invoice and receipt are sent by email, as well as the boarding voucher which must be printed.
Bookings, in which the payments are not done up to the informed deadline, will be automatically canceled by our reservation system. In this case, the customer will receive an email with the cancellation notice.
Cancellations and Changes
We understand that unforeseen events happen and, for that same reason, we have developed conditions for changing and canceling practical reservations that guarantee the quality of our service.
Changes to your reservation: we can, at any time, and as long as we have availability, make changes to your reservation, even if you have already made the full payment for the cruise and the boarding voucher has already been sent. For any changes to your booking you should contact our team as soon as possible.
Cancellation: On our 1-day cruises, you can cancel a reservation without any penalty as long as you notify us 7 days before the cruise departure (at least). In this case, we will proceed to a full refund of the amount already paid in the following hours. So, if you want to cancel your reservation, we advise you to contact us as soon as possible.
Payment Deadlines (3-day Cruises)
The reservation is only considered confirmed after the payment of the total amount agreed. After payment, the invoice and receipt for the purchase are sent by email, as well as the boarding voucher that must be printed.
Reservations that are confirmed up to the deadline will be automatically canceled by our reservation system. In this case, the customer will receive an email with the cancellation notice.
Below, we indicate the payment deadline for 3-day Douro cruise reservations:
Full refund: cancellations communicated up to 30 days before departure date
80% refund: cancellations communicated up to 7 days before the departure date (loss of the initial deposit of 20%)
No refund: cancellations communicated less than 7 days before the departure date
